Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Field Service Coordinator to join our Service team in Leeds.

This is a pivotal role responsible for coordinating Field Service Engineers (FSEs) and ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of service activities.

Working closely with the Service Supervisor, engineers, customers, and internal teams, you will play a key role in optimising service performance, improving first-time fix rates, and supporting revenue growth through effective planning, scheduling, technical coordination, and commercial awareness.

Due to the collaborative and operational nature of the role, regular onsite presence in Leeds is essential. Your visibility within the service function will enable real-time decision-making, responsive scheduling, and strong cross-functional teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate Field Service Engineers to ensure efficient service delivery and resource utilisation.
  • Act as the central point of contact for all service-related activities, managing requests from receipt through to completion.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end service process, including job logging, quotations, scheduling, execution, and billing.
  • Work closely with engineers and site-based teams to support effective service planning and real-time operational decisions.
  • Ensure service activities are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with company standards and customer expectations.
  • Support the improvement of first-time fix rates through effective coordination, planning, and communication.
  • Monitor engineer availability, workload, and service priorities to maximise operational efficiency.
  • Liaise with customers to provide updates, manage expectations, and deliver a positive customer experience.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of service work and accurate invoicing.
  • Contribute to revenue performance by identifying opportunities for additional service work and ensuring quotations are processed effectively.

Qualifications

Education / Qualifications:

  • Technical qualification in Mechanical or Mechanical/Electrical engineering (or equivalent practical experience)

Experience:

  • Proven experience in a service coordination, engineering support, or similar operational role
  • Experience operating in a customer-facing and service delivery environment
  • Experience working in a site-based or operational environment where close collaboration with engineers is required


Technical skills / tools:

  • Experience using Field Service Management (FSM), ERP, and/or CRM systems
  • Good understanding of engineering service environments (e.g., actuators or similar equipment desirable)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Understanding of HSE requirements, including permits to work and safe systems of work
