Job Description

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join Rotork, a global leader in flow control and intelligent actuation solutions, supporting critical infrastructure across the energy, water, and industrial processing sectors.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Rotork at a time of continued investment in innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. You'll have the chance to make a tangible impact, develop your technical expertise, and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing quality standards across a global manufacturing organisation.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will work in a highly engineered, safety-critical environment where quality is fundamental to both performance and reputation.

As a Quality Engineer, you will take ownership of a significant proportion of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring effective containment, investigation, and timely closure. You will lead structured root cause investigations, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and identify trends that drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Working closely with production, engineering, supply chain teams, and suppliers, you will play a key role in resolving quality issues, reducing recurring defects, and improving overall process performance.

The role

  • Managing NCRs from identification through to closure
  • Leading root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies
  • Implementing and monitoring corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Analysing quality data and trends to identify improvement opportunities
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing and supplier quality issues
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product and process quality
  • Contributing to compliance with quality management systems and industry standards

Essential Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
  • Proven experience managing NCR and CAPA processes within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes
  • Experience using structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, FMEA, and SPC
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
  • Experience working collaboratively with production, engineering, and supply chain functions

The successful candidate

You'll be a proactive and detail-oriented quality professional who enjoys solving problems and driving improvements. You will bring:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • A results-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A collaborative, hands-on approach to working with teams across the business
  • A genuine passion for quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
