Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated financial accountant for a 9 months assignment to join our dynamic finance team in Rotork, Chile. This role will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and the effectiveness of our internal control environment. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical accounting skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Internal Controls:
    • Maintain and improve the internal control procedures
    • Document procedures to ensure those are reflected into manual processes and new ERP D365
    • Collaborate with various departments to remediate control deficiencies.
  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Manage the collections process, including following up with the client a weekly receivables report
    • Monitor customer accounts, ensuring timely payments and resolving discrepancies.
    • Generate aging reports and analyze outstanding receivables.
  • General Accounting:
    • Support quarterly, month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
    • Assist with the preparation of financial data to provide insightful reports to management.
    • Ensure compliance with Chilean accounting standards and regulations.
  • Other:
    • Support the Financial Controller with ad-hoc projects and analysis.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Understanding of internal control frameworks
  • Experience with accounts receivable management and collections.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Champion the use of PowerBI, promoting use & the development of skills within the wider team/function
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
