Job Description
Purpose of the Job:
This dual-role position combines Sales Engineer for the Water & Power sector and Business Development for the Chemical, Process & Industrial (CPI) sector, with a specific focus on Data Centres and their supply chain in Taiwan.
In the primary role, the incumbent will be responsible for selling products and services from all Rotork divisions and developing sales and distribution channels within the Water & Power end market sector. The objective is to achieve maximum sales and market share while maintaining profitable pricing levels. The role requires building strong relationships with end users, EPCs, and channel partners, ensuring Rotork is perceived as an ethical, reliable, and responsive supplier of premium products and services.
In the secondary role, the incumbent will proactively identify and pursue business development opportunities within the CPI sector, particularly targeting Data Center projects and related supply chains. This includes influencing specifications at the feasibility and design stages, engaging with EPCs, OEMs, and end users, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to position Rotork as the preferred flow control solution provider in these segments.
The position involves regular travel within Taiwan and occasional international travel for training, meetings, and conferences. It requires strong technical knowledge of Rotork products, commercial acumen, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrix organization.
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
Primary Role – Water & Power Sales Engineering
- Drive sales growth for Rotork products and services across all divisions, focusing on Water & Power sectors.
- Develop and manage distribution channels and strategic partnerships within Taiwan.
- Maintain strong relationships with end users, EPCs, and channel partners to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to maintain profitable margins.
- Represent Rotork at industry exhibitions, conferences, and networking events.
Secondary Role – CPI Business Development (Data Centers) - Identify and proactively pursue CPI project opportunities at feasibility and design stages.
- Engage with critical parts of the CPI value chain, including Cooling Equipment & Server Room OEMs, Valve Makers, Contractors, EPCs, and End Users.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to position Rotork as the preferred supplier in Data Center cooling and related CPI segments.
- Collaborate with regional sales and business development teams, product managers, operations, and senior management to deliver growth objectives.
- Report progress within the Rotork Data Centre Tier 1 business initiative, and take guidance from Global Business Development Lead for Data Centres
- Expand sales channels and develop strong value-chain relationships at corporate and regional levels.

Primary Role KPIs
- Achieve annual sales targets for Water & Power sector.
- Increase market share and maintain profitable pricing levels.
- Develop and sustain strong customer relationships and channel partnerships.
Secondary Role KPIs
- Identify and secure Data Center projects within CPI sector.
- Influence End User and OEM specifications at feasibility and design stages.
- Expand Rotork’s presence in CPI value chain and supply network.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial sales and business development.
- Strong technical understanding of flow control solutions and market requirements.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans in a matrix organization.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written).
- Ability to travel extensively within Taiwan and occasionally internationally.
