Job Description

This is a key role ensuring performance of experimental operations requiring working in the absence of design specifications and proceeding from own conception to select materials, dimensional allowances for fits and tolerances, heat treatment methods, etc.

This opportunity allows a highly autonomous individual with the right skillset to set up and perform any and all machine, hand, bench, or welding operations to make, repair, or modify all parts, tools, and details where tolerances of an exacting nature.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, they will have the comprehensive knowledge of all machining operations are required including three and four axis machines. Responsible for calculating and preparing programs for CNC equipment.

Experience Requirements:

  • Move materials and equipment as required.
  • Instruct and assist associates as directed by supervisor.
  • Report and dispose of scrap and defective material as instructed.
  • Complete required records by managing data information from PC.
  • Perform all duties in collaboration with our functions as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience using the following tools, machines, and equipment: engine lathes, turret lathes, mills, drill presses, CNC machines, tappers, hones, grinders, power saws, sanders, and similar machines as well as all hand tools.
  • Interpret complex drawings for operation, material, tool, fixture, machine finish, and dimensional requirements.
  • Lay out work, determine course of action, operational sequence, machines and tooling needed, make any machine set-ups, and inspect final product.

Pay range: $21/hr - $26/hr + Bonus
