This is a 12 Month temporary position

As part of our strategic procurement activity, we are looking to simplify and consolidate our supply base, optimising costs and driving resilience through our supply chain. 

In Langenzenn we currently have an opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to drive the strategy across our key spend in Germany.  We are looking to streamline our supply, underpinned by efficient and effective processes that align with the wider Rotork. The jobholder will be accountable to the Regional Procurement Manager and will undertake a strategic review of the supply base and implement the necessary changes to supply.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:

• Manage the supply base for the Langenzenn facility and continue to develop the optimum supply base for Rotork balancing cost, quality and supply resilience.
• Lead price and contract negotiations with plant specific suppliers with support from the Regional Procurement Manager 
• Lead site focused New Product Development Procurement activities by providing Procurement support through the Rotork Development & Launch Process (RDLP).
• To define, manage and maintain and appropriate set of vendors with appropriate contracts / price frameworks with guidance from both Regional Procurement Manager and the Global Commodity Managers.
• Follow the Rotork GSS Procurement processes to ensure the effective delivery of both Major and Minor Procurement Projects.
• Work closely with the local plant Global Supply Chain Team to understand key operations performance metrics for the plant and ensure balanced Procurement decisions are taken considering all cost elements.
• Understand key supplier performance metrics and work with the Supplier Development and Quality Engineers (SDQE) where development actions are required to drive performance improvement in the longer term
• Ensure effective risk monitoring of suppliers using relationships and tools in order to flag high risks.
• Working with the Supplier Development & Quality team and Global Commodity Managers to implement Value Add Value Engineering (VAVE), Design for Manufacture (DfM), Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Should Costing opportunity evaluation for your site.

Qualifications & technical knowledge

• 10+ years Procurement related experience including supplier contract development
• Relevant Engineering Industry experience
• Strong Procurement background with evidence of strategy development
• Advanced knowledge of full Microsoft Suite (especially Excel).
• Familiar with MRP systems ie D365, SAP, Oracle
