The Settlement Attorney position is primarily responsible for conducting settlements and supporting staff In addition to analytical and verbal/written communication skills, it is essential to have a foundation in real estate law including strong negotiating skills. Time management and organizational skills are of the essence due to handling multiple cases and documents at any given time.

Acer Title & Escrow is a full service settlement company associated with Rosenberg & Associates real estate law firm and was founded in 2002 with offices in Bethesda, Maryland, Vienna and Chesapeake, Virginia.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Transactional review of all documents related to the settlement process.
• Residential settlement/closing knowledge.
• Draft and/or review settlement packages.
• Resolve escalated title related issues.
• Oversee the legal requirements and audits of the settlement team.

• JD Degree from an accredited law school.
• Membership in the Maryland Bar; with Virginia and DC admission a plus.
• 1-3 or more years experience practicing attorney in the area of Real Estate.  
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge off the TSS system a plus.
• Active Title License

Salary will commensurate with experience.
