For our third-generation family company, factors such as teamwork, passion and taking responsibility are key. We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious Data Engineer for our extremely challenging data analysis projects. 

Responsibilities:

Your job as a Data Engineer is to realize a number of projects and innovation within our data analysis team. These include:  

• Translating client requirements into functional designs for data systems and environments
• Devising, developing and achieving innovations in the area of data analytics and machine learning for large international clients
• Supporting the sales team in making commercial proposals for data analysis projects
• Guiding the technical aspects of a project with engineering and technical project team colleagues
• Managing and delivering OSIsoft PI projects independently, sometimes at the client’s location
• Co-developing (innovative) technical solutions with colleagues and clients in the area of CCTV, IT network systems and machine learning for offshore installations

• You are prepared to travel abroad from time to time
• You work independently and in a structured way
• You know analytics products and platforms (OSIsoft PI is a strong plus point). If you are not an expert, you are planning to become one
• Proven experience and knowledge of Python, SQL (NoSQL is a plus)
• Affinity with Angular, JavaScript and Cloud platforms
• You preferably have knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark, Databrick and/or Hortonwork
• Linux experience is a plus
• An academic degree from a technical university
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Available fulltime
• Dare to make mistakes and to learn from them
