Position
As a Project engineer at Roll Group, you’ll be responsible for the technical execution of our projects. You’ll translate our clients’ wishes into efficient solutions that are delivered safely, securely and on time.
Your tasks and responsibilities
- Attend Project (kick-off) meetings;
- Responsible for all the engineering related aspects of projects, execute, monitors, and co-ordinates the work with departments, subcontractors, and clients on engineering issues;
- Prepare documents for execution of projects (e.g., (transport) manuals, calculations, task risk analysis, drawings and assist with client and MWS interface;
- Preparation of materials and equipment specifications;
- In case required support the execution of projects on site;
- Provide input in favor of a project evaluation;
- Ensure compliance with Roll Group engineering, quality, and safety standards;
- Comply with our Code of Conduct and underlaying company policies, QHSSE Standards (Policies, Procedures, and Instructions) and those applicable on the work sites;
- Working towards achievement of the Company’s environment, health, and safety goals.
Your qualifications
Pro-active, entrepreneurial and service-minded, you are a natural planner with a flexible, hands-on attitude. Tight schedules and deadlines don’t phase you.
Other knowledge and skills you bring to Roll Group include:
- Higher vocational education in (mechanical) engineering, or equivalent;
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Heavy lifting/transport engineering;
- Experience in proposal works for land and marine projects;
- Experienced with rules and regulations for working in a land / marine environment;
- Technical knowledge of lifting / transport calculations and structural calculations;
- Strong in construction (AutoCad) drawing, calculation, detailing and good knowledge of materials and technical requirements;
- Able to perform under tight schedules and deadlines;
- Able to work in a team as well as independently;
- Good computer literacy;
- Hands-on, pro-active attitude and service minded;
- Fluent in Dutch and English (both verbally and in writing);
- Willingness to travel abroad (occasionally).

Our selection process
