Job Description

In the position of Assistant Controller you are responsible for the Roll Lift part of the company as well as Holding activities together with the Finance Controller. As Assistant Controller you will analyze, create, record and report financial and other information. You will be primarily responsible for the financials of some legal entities and assist the Finance Controller with others.

Key responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate monthly closing of assigned legal entities
  • Review and analysis of expenses and revenues
  • Support finance staff in international branch offices (APAC, MEA and USA) where needed
  • Analyze and prepare balance sheet specifications
  • Create sales invoices and monitor receipts
  • Close cooperation with P2P team members including review of weekly payment runs
  • Process payroll journal entries
  • Monitor monthly intercompany reconciliations
  • Monitor compliance and submit VAT returns, CBS filings etc.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements
  • Prepare financial audit documentation
  • Participate in assigned financial improvement projects and other initiatives

Qualifications

We are looking for a person who:

  • Has a bachelor degree with 1-5 years experience
  • Has great attention to detail
  • Is structured and flexible
  • Has got great analytical skills
  • Is fluent in Dutch and has working level knowledge of English
  • Knows his way around Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with project administration and/or financial audits is an advantage
  • Any experience with Twinfield and/or Power BI would come in handy
