Job Description

The Engineer Department is responsible for the engineering of our projects related to our Heavy Transport Vessels. It is their challenge to create the requirements of our clients into efficient solutions. The Naval / Marine Engineer is responsible for the technical execution of our projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Attend Project (kick-off) meetings.
  • Responsible for all the engineering related aspects of projects, execute, monitors, and co-ordinates the work with departments, subcontractors, and clients on engineering issues.
  • Prepare documents for execution of projects (e.g., (transport) manuals, calculations, task risk analysis, drawings and assist with client and MWS interface.
  • Preparation of materials and equipment specifications.
  • In case required support the execution of projects on site.
  • Provide input in favor of a project evaluation.
  • Ensure compliance with RollDock engineering, quality, and safety standards.
  • Comply with our Code of Conduct and underlaying company policies, QHSSE Standards (Policies, Procedures, and Instructions) and those applicable on the work sites.
  • Working towards achievement of the Company’s environment, health, and safety goals.

Qualifications

We are looking for a person who:

  • Has a Naval Architect bachelor (scheepsbouwkunde/ maritieme Techniek) degree with 1-5 year's experience.
  • Experience in proposal works for land and marine projects.
  • Experienced with rules and regulations for working in a land / marine environment.
  • Technical knowledge of lifting / transport calculations, stability / motion analysis and structural calculations.
  • Strong in construction (AutoCad) drawing, calculation, detailing and good knowledge of materials and technical requirements.
  • Able to perform under tight schedules and deadlines.
  • Able to work in a team as well as independently.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Hands-on, pro-active attitude and service minded.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (both verbally and in writing).
  • Willingness to travel abroad (occasionally).
