Summary/Objective

The office administrator will be responsible for providing general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks with a specific focus on company marketing. Including but not limited to answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, requisition of supplies as well as additional clerical duties.

Essential Functions

1.      Greet and directs visitors to the company

2.      Oversee the maintenance of office facilities, and equipment

3.      Create job folders and labels for the operations, commercial, and human resources departments

4.      Responsible for the general upkeep of the office and kitchen area

5.      Receive, sort and forward incoming mail, maintains and routes publications

6.      Coordinate the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)

7.      Assist in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies

8.      Ensure cleanliness throughout the office

9.      Answer central telephone system and directs calls accordingly

10.   Cover administrative duties throughout organization as needed

Additional Information

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to a variety of conditions at construction job sites such as fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM including a 1 hour lunch break.

 

Travel

Travel for this position is not required.

 

Education and Experience

High school graduate required. Some college preferred.

Two years of previous related experience.

 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

1.      Must possess or obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.
