Job Opportunity: Director of Plant Operations

Location: Mayfield, KY

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: $74,000 - $84,000 per year (negotiable based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Manage the plant operations team, ensuring the efficient functioning of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Oversee adherence to healthcare-specific codes and regulations, including Joint Commission and NFPA standards.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Facility Upgrades: Coordinate facility repairs, renovations, and upgrades with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Emergency Response: Establish and maintain an effective emergency response plan for facility-related incidents.
  • Collaboration: Partner with clinical and non-clinical teams to address facility needs and maintain a safe environment.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and oversee the budget for plant operations, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Staff Development: Mentor and train the facilities/maintenance team to ensure high-quality performance and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s degree in a related field (e.g., Facilities Management, Engineering, Healthcare Administration).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in plant operations or facilities management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare-specific codes and standards.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and patient care systems.
  • Experience managing construction or renovation projects in a healthcare setting.
  • Certification in Healthcare Facilities Management (CHFM) or Facilities Management Professional (FMP).
