Job Description

·         Use Sage ERP to manage MRP and purchasing requirements

·         Create PO’s for inventory and non-inventory items as needed

·         Generate Sage and other system reports on inventory data, forecasting, and costs

·         Communicate with Production Manager and others to monitor inventory needs effectively and efficiently

·         Direct continuous improvement of purchasing process in line with changing organizational needs and market conditions

·         Implement purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices

·         Identify and source new suppliers and vendors

·         Evaluate contracts, develop, negotiate, and administer purchasing agreements with suppliers in support or organizational requirements

·         Manage risk relating to quality, cost, delivery and supply of purchases

·         Manage vendor and supplier relationships based on price, quality, support, capacity, and reliability

Qualifications

·         2+ years of Purchasing management experience in a manufacturing environment

·         Hands-on experience with computer-based ERP/MRP systems, preferably Sage ERP

·         Strong knowledge of supply chain management

·         Analytical problem-solving skills

·         Knowledge of business, finance, and management principles

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Successful planning skills

·         Quality and efficiency focus

Additional Information

Desired Qualifications and Skills     

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Supply Chain/Logistics or a business-related field

·         Strong Sage ERP knowledge

·         Microsoft 365 skills
