In 2026, Rodeo FX opened its newest studio in Bengaluru, expanding our global network across Canada, the United States, Europe and India. Located in International Tech Park Bengaluru, the new 40,000-square-foot studio is designed to accommodate up to 400 artists and supports both Rodeo FX and Mikros Animation.
Our Bengaluru team is fully integrated into Rodeo FX's global pipeline, collaborating with artists, supervisors and production teams across our international studios on incredible projects.

Job Description
The Compositing Supervisor plays a central role in the artistic and technical integration of shots delivered by the 2D team. As a key guardian of visual quality and established workflows, they work closely with the VFX and CG Supervisors, Production, and Art Direction to ensure that deliverables remain consistent with the project’s creative vision.
As a hands-on expert, mentor, workflow manager, and cross-departmental point of contact, the Compositing Supervisor brings the team together around high-quality standards while ensuring rigorous planning and the smooth execution of assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Quality
- Translate the project’s artistic vision into clear and actionable direction for Compositing Artists.
- Lead daily reviews, review internal versions, and guide artists toward a high level of creative execution.
- Collaborate with VFX and CG Supervisors to solve complex visual challenges and maintain consistency across departments.
- Propose achievable creative solutions while considering technical, budgetary, and production constraints.
- Actively contribute to the development and execution of key shots or complex sequences.
Technical Quality
- Establish and maintain rigorous technical methodologies aligned with the Rodeo FX pipeline.
- Ensure scripts meet established standards, renders are optimized, and final deliverables are clean and production-ready.
- Contribute to the creation and documentation of compositing-specific tools and templates.
- Monitor continuity across shots and ensure the overall technical quality of the work.
- Work closely with other departments to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.
Leadership and Communication
- Guide, motivate, and empower artists throughout the project.
- Clearly communicate objectives, feedback, and expectations during briefings, daily reviews, and one-on-one meetings.
- Remain calm and composed during critical periods, resolve issues, and escalate concerns to the appropriate stakeholders (Production, Supervisors, HR, etc.) at the right time.
- Foster a healthy, collaborative work environment aligned with Rodeo FX’s values.
- Support team members’ professional development, identify training needs, and share knowledge and expertise.
Project Management
- Contribute to estimates, artist casting, and deliverable planning in collaboration with Production.
- Track shot progress, anticipate potential roadblocks, and adjust priorities as needed.
- Take prompt action when work deviates from established objectives, standards, or professional ethics.
- Provide ongoing performance feedback, support evaluations, and contribute to talent identification.
- Support Production in preparing estimates or delivery documentation, as required.
Workflow Strategies
- Optimize existing processes and propose more efficient methods to improve team performance.
- Ensure tools, templates, and procedures are up to date, properly documented, and clearly understood by the team.
- Actively contribute to the evolution of the Compositing pipeline, taking into account the needs of both the project and the team.
- Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, or technical development.
- Contribute to aligning and standardizing best practices across projects and departments.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in high-end digital compositing for feature film and/or episodic productions, including significant experience as a Compositing Lead, Compositing Supervisor, or equivalent.
- Excellent proficiency in Nuke; knowledge of Flame is an asset.
- Strong portfolio or demo reel demonstrating high-quality photoreal compositing and complex 2D/3D integration.
- Proven experience leading Compositing Artists, reviewing work, providing clear creative and technical direction, and delivering to production schedules.
- Advanced skills in color, lighting, perspective, photography, and the integration of 2D/3D elements.
- Strong understanding of VFX production pipelines and cross-department workflows.
- Familiarity with Flow Production Tracking (ShotGrid) or equivalent production tracking tools.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and support artists with both rigor and empathy.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to remain resilient under pressure.
- Strong professional English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams across multiple studios and time zones.
- Strategic mindset and ability to propose practical and innovative solutions.
- Experience in tool or template development, client presentations, or contributing to pipeline development is an asset.
