Summary:
Under the supervision of the Payroll Supervisor, the payroll technician is responsible for the integrity of data in our HR platform. In collaboration with the payroll master, they prepare payroll processing for various entities of RodeoFX according to payroll schedules.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the payroll master for payroll production;
• Assist the payroll supervisor with any ad-hoc requests;
• Participate in the payroll processing for non-unionized employees;
• Ensure the follow-up and implementation of the annual payroll activities calendar;
• Assist employees with any payroll-related questions;
• Validate employee records (hiring, promotion, changes, etc.);
• Calculate retroactive amounts if applicable during salary changes and modify/adjust vacation plans;
• Keep payroll-related files up-to-date and make requested modifications;
• Validate requested insurance coverages and ensure proper configuration in our payroll system.

•  Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position (high volume);
• Accreditation as a Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) is an asset;
• Knowledge of UKG payroll/HR software is an asset;
• Proficiency in MS Office (Intermediate Excel, including pivot tables);
• Knowledge of labor standards and current provincial (multi-province) and federal laws;
• Knowledge of American and French payroll is an asset;
• Organizational skills, autonomy, and attention to detail;
• Ability to work under pressure;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Handling confidential information.
