We are seeking an Animation Film Editor to join our growing Feature Animation team. We are looking for a talented and creative storyteller that is hard-working, motivated, efficient, adaptable, and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate well with our story team and provide articulate feedback to help develop effective, character-driven stories;
• Work with storyboards and beat boards, animating 2D layers and artwork as needed to craft compelling animatics and story reels;
• Assemble storyboard panels, animated sequences and rendered sequences into rough, fine and final cuts of the film, working directly with the Director and the Head of Story;
• Add music, dialogue, graphics, visual effects and sound when needed to effectively communicate the story.

• At least 3-5 years of post-production experience;
• Musical experience an asset;
• Ability to cut a variety of styles: comedy, drama, action;
• Good artistic eye for composition, shot flow, camera angles;
• Detailed technical knowledge of camera formats and video codecs;
• Expert working with Avid: Editing, Sound Design, Color Correction, and more;
• Working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, Flix an asset;
• Problem solving abilities to troubleshoot technical and editorial issues.
