Job Description

The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for various inventory control operations, including cycle counts, monitoring inventory levels, researching discrepancies, and analyzing data to project future orders and necessary inventory levels.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Control the warehouse inventory - Frames and Lens (non FOC and Smart)
  • Coordinate with shipping, receiving and quality control in verifying and maintaining records incoming and outgoing product
  • Negative Tier
  • Create/improve procedures for managing and reconciling periodic and physical inventory counts
  • Coordinate cycle counts
  • Review and monitor inventory levels • Identify areas of obsolete inventory
  • Update and maintain the warehouse inventory spreadsheet
  • Research inventory level discrepancies
  • Identify and correct root cause of discrepancies
  • Multi inter-company transfer
  • Fulfill orders and manage inventory in a timely and professional manner
  • Effectively and correctly return goods to vendors
  • Prepare and maintain multi inter-company transfer
  • Train on MAS 200 module
  • Back-up to FOC/Smart
  • Back-up to Shipping and Receiving
  • Assist Quality Control plans and other QC related tasks
  • Perform additional duties as directed

Qualifications

  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to apply business knowledge and mathematical analysis to improve inventory management
  • Ability to use advanced math concepts as required; strong math skills are a MUST
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Self-motivated to take ownership of multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team interacting with multiple departments
  • Excellent organization, time-management, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite with solid working knowledge of spreadsheets as well as creating and manipulating trivet tables

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or its equivalent, Associates degree preferred
  • Inventory planning / control experience required
  • Optical experience preferred
