Job Description

An experienced professional services partner who has been responsible for cross-functional teams and successful client project and program delivery.  Able to manage, coach, teach, guide and mentor Talent.  You set the team up for success, drive ownership of outcomes, and provide accountability.  You are an energizer.  You motivate team members to put into practice R&P core values of Strong Work Ethic, Top Drawer, Always Learning, Heart, Discipline, and Efficacy in their daily work, reminding them of how their daily work impacts long and short term goals for our clients and for Robots & Pencils. 


 How you’ll spend your time here:

  • You are responsible for all operational and financial results of your portfolio.  You will be focused on our Canadian clients.

  • You will have responsibility for portfolio planning, revenue, profitability, and client results for your Canadian clients.

  • Direct all aspects of business for your portfolio: solution, delivery, and team.  Lead growth / expansion strategy via relationship building, client mapping and other tactics to drive incremental growth and reach within accounts.  Own the overall client relationship, results, satisfaction, and account profitability

  • Collaborates on the development, sharing, and continuous updating of the R&P Canadian point of view, go to market and service offerings 

  • Collaborates with other geographic and industry  verticals for trends, best practices, and collaboration of their industries (EdTech, ConsumerTech, FinTech)

  • Clearly articulate, develop, promote, and advocate the value and impact of R&P services in driving solutions to your industry

  • Understand client’s strategic roadmaps and articulate how R&P can impact and optimize client business results

  • Understand R&P’s value proposition, technologies, capabilities, and services to position them to clients 

  • In cooperation with the sales team and/or as the lead, qualify potential new client opportunities, seek to understand business needs and necessary solutions, create and drive individual and category deal/win strategy, develop proposal/presentation content and strategy for new and existing client business pitches

  • Negotiate deal structure, contracts and pricing with clients while following vertical approval process.  Liaise with outside counsel, finance, outside partners and executive team members as needed 

  • Continue to grow R&P’s reputation in Canada as well as the broader technology landscape via individual client outreach as well as supporting broader go to market activities in partnership with marketing, sales and other team members

  • Forecast and deliver against Canadian key portfolio, client, financial, and individual team metrics in cooperation with other delivery team members. KPIs may include revenue, profitability, utilization, chargeability, talent and client satisfaction and other identified metrics

  • Provides oversight and accountability for successful relationships (onboarding, management, etc) and delivery (planning, execution, budget, scope, staffing, and risk management) across your portfolio

  • Create and lead learning opportunities for your team

  • Proactively work to assure a highly engaged team staffed with top talent

  • Hires, retains, develops, and engages top level client services and other key talent that inspires the trust and confidence of clients and in turn becomes the reason why clients want to work with R&P

  • Create a shared sense of direction and team identity.



  • This is a remote opportunity requiring residence in Toronto or local surrounding area for serving our regional area Canadian clients.  

  • 5+ years of client service experience in digital technology services or high tech management consulting, with account, or multiple account ownership responsibilities (total revenue >$2M)

  • Canadian portfolio leadership experience and knowledge, strongly preferred  

  • Significant experience developing Canadian or other vertical POVs, and service offerings

  • Proven understanding of client relationship management, mobile and web technology, digital marketing, and analytics

  • Proven leadership skills managing complex teams and client relationships.

  • Experience working effectively in a matrixed environment and in managing teams within a dynamic, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment

  • Successful track record in opportunity identification, nurturing, high level solution design, contract authoring/negotiation
