Company Description
The Robert Bosch Center for Tumor Diseases (RBCT) is a new translational cancer research institute located on the Bosch Health Campus in Stuttgart, Germany. We are closely linked to the Robert Bosch Hospital (RBK) and the Institute for Clinical Pharmacology (IKP) and are part of the Comprehensive Cancer Center Stuttgart-Tübingen.
Our mission is to explore the molecular mechanisms that drive tumor growth and metastasis, with the goal of improving cancer patient treatment. Our research focuses on cellular identity regulation through transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms, using high-throughput omics data.
We are seeking a motivated Bachelor’s/intern student (m/f/d) to complete projects in bioinformatics. You will be involved in analyzing data and developing computational tools, contributing to cutting-edge cancer research in a collaborative environment.
Job Description
- Assist in the analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, such as RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq and scRNA-seq.
- Contribute to developing computational tools and scripts for data processing.
- Collaborate with researchers to support data interpretation and presentation.
- Participate in maintaining computational resources and software under supervision.
Qualifications
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s program in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis and statistics.
- Experience with programming in R or Python.
- Familiarity with Linux or other operating systems is beneficial.
- Interest in cancer research and bioinformatics applications.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Good communication skills and proficiency in English; German is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and dynamic research environment.
