As Head of HR Benelux, you will be responsible for the HR strategy and operations across the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. You will lead a team of HR professionals (HR Advisors, Recruitment Manager, Casemanager NL and Health & Safety Advisor) and have a dotted line towards the HR Operations team. Besides that, you will work closely with the Country Director Benelux and the rest of the Benelux MT. You also team up with the international HR community. Your goal is together create a thriving, people-first culture that fosters engagement, leadership, and growth.

This is a dynamic key position within a high-speed retail environment. You are HR end-responsible for around 2000 people including 75 local head office colleagues. Your accountabilities

  • HR Strategy & Leadership: Define and execute a winning HR approach that supports business goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a strong HR team in both Amsterdam and Antwerp
  • Employer Branding & Talent Strategy: Position the company as an employer of choice and attract top talent.
  • Culture & Leadership Development: Implement impactful initiatives to boost leadership and employee engagement.
  • HR Transformation: Drive innovative HR solutions to future-proof the organization.
  • Data-Driven HR: Use analytics and insights to support workforce planning and decision-making.
  • External Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Works councils and external HR partners across the region.

Qualifications

  • High energy, a hands-on mindset, and a great sense of humor – you connect and inspire people.
  • At least 6 years of HR leadership experience in a retail or similar fast-paced environment and in a Benelux setting (knowledge of the Belgian labor law is a plus!)
  • Proven experience in HR transformation and strategic HR planning.
  • Strong communication, presentation and change management skills.
  • FLUENT in DUTCH and English (French is a plus!).
  • Based in the Netherlands with flexibility to travel across the Benelux.
