Job Description

Rituals is growing. We are steadily expanding in new territories, opening new stores, growing our online presence and implementing new initiatives in existing markets. To ensure we can keep up with the growth, we are looking for an experienced manager for our Finance Business Improvement department to support and join our growth ambitions!

Within Finance we aim to be an enabler for the growth of Rituals by being a reliable and efficient department for internal and external stakeholders. In light of this, we strive for continuous improvement for our Finance departments by building scalable processes, systems and automate where possible. As the Head of Business Improvement Finance you play a crucial role in this. Next to this, you are expected to partner up with other departments to successfully implement new initiatives by making sure that all Finance related topics are covered so that we stay in control!

As the Head of Business Improvement Finance you are leading the Finance Business Improvement team within the Finance department. Your team is responsible for initiating, managing and implementing (cross-functional) projects within the Finance department. The projects can vary from small process and/or system improvements to wider cross-functional projects. Most of your projects will have an IT-component since the largest part of our Finance processes are driven by technology. Teaming up with our Business Technology department will therefore also be crucial for your success!

As the Head of Business Improvement Finance you are part of the Finance department and will report to the Finance Director. You will work closely with many Finance teams like Financial Control, Accounts Payable, Cash & Credit Control and Tax, but also with several other Rituals departments like Supply Chain, Retail and Digital. This gives you the opportunity to have a wide scope of topics and work with many different stakeholders.

Proactiveness, a critical mindset and a high level of autonomy is expected since we aim for continuous improvement within Finance and you will have to find your way throughout the fast-paced organization.

Your key result areas are:

  • Initiate and manage the strategic Finance roadmap which needs to be aligned with the overall Rituals’ objectives;
  • Business process management: proactively identify and come up with improvements for our key Finance processes and underlying systems (Purchase-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash and Record-to-Report etc.) together with the different Finance departments. You are the gatekeeper of our continuous improvement mindset within Finance;
  • Align with Finance colleagues to understand business needs and integrate them into the Finance roadmap with actionable projects;
  • Align with all Finance key-users within the different teams to make sure process- and system improvements are realized;
  • Stakeholder management: build a relationship with various stakeholders within the organization (Supply Chain, Digital, Business Technology etc). You are expected to proactively inform stakeholders, can manage expectations and can convince stakeholders of needed change.
  • Act as a Center of Excellence for project management capabilities as well as processes & system knowledge for the Finance department as a whole.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business;
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in Finance and project management;
  • You have extensive (operational or project) experience with key Finance processes;
  • Demonstrated capability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex and entrepreneurial organization;
  • Advanced knowledge in SQL and PowerBI is required;
  • You have strong affinity with IT as well;
  • You are eager to learn and always strive for improvements;
  • You have excellent communication and influencing skills (English/ Dutch).
