To fuel data driven decision making within Rituals, we are building a new data warehouse in the Google Cloud that will be the single source of truth for all reporting, analytical and data science purposes: a data platform. All the Rituals data is already in the Google Cloud, we have an innovative technical stack which we want to optimize and improve. So we are looking for a driven individual to support us in this endeavor, working closely with our analytics and reporting teams and the developers. 

You will devise and design solutions to data transformation questions, write crystal clear user stories together with the rest of the team and you will improve processes and optimize the data tables and flows on the Google Cloud.  

You will facilitate the migration of data to the new Data Platform from various departments like E-Commerce, Supply Chain, Finance, HR and Retail: 

• You will proactively initiate and drive projects to fill up the Data Platform
• You will dig deep into the data with the tool owners and the business to figure out what the data means, how it is supplied and how best to capture and maintain it
• You will ensure the Data Platform is compliant, robust and easy to use by setting up:
  • data privacy and masking protocols
  • a data catalog on all the data available in Data Platform
  • monitoring and data quality procedures
• You will be the main point of contact during development for testing, getting feedback and input, and answering questions
• You will guide business in how they can best utilize Data Platform

THIS IS YOU

High on energy, low on ego and with a little bit of humour. You are curious, analytical and have the ability to apply rapidly changing technology to business needs. On the other hand, you can adapt to the fast way of working which is needed to drive excellence. On top of that, you:

• Have 3 + years of experience working within a data department or data-rich environment.
• Have proven experience with cloud-native platforms (GCP is preferred) and SQL
• Know a thing or two about requirement engineering
• Have at least a conceptual understanding of API’s and data-pipelines
• Are a self-starter who can proactively make decisions based on the long-term goals of Data Platform.
• Are a data enthusiast with understanding of how different data structures work and how data is consumed by analytical users.
• Always want to find the best solution and are not affraid to ask dificult questions to get to that solution.
• Are interested in innovation, trying out new tools and possibilities with Google Cloud, and not scared to fail on the way
