YOU ARE ALL ABOUT ACCURATE FINANCE ADMINISTRATION

As our Financial Controller you deliver and support a timely and accurate financial administration of the entities in our Eastern Europe region (DACH + Poland). This includes monthly closing of the general ledger and processing monthly VAT returns. You will be guided by the manager financial control Eastern Europe. Next to that you cooperate with the other finance teams (e.g tax, payroll, accounts payable), the local head offices and other relevant departments.

As our Financial Controller Eastern Europe you are responsible for:

• Execute operational plans regarding the full accounting cycle (month-end) and ensure timeliness and completeness of records.
• Applying accounting knowledge and being able to come to pragmatic solutions when supporting the business.  
• Liaise with other finance teams (e.g tax, payroll, accounts payable) in order to solve current issues.
• Ensure monthly compliance with regards to taxes (VAT / CIT / other local taxes), statistical reporting and region-specific topics (POS compliance, fiscal printer).
• Assist during the annual statutory audit with customized reports and sample documentation.
• Provide support on finance related projects such as entity integration and new statistical packages.

As you work close together with our DACH and Poland colleagues we’re looking for a German -and preferably also Polish- speaking new colleague.

The total financial control team (located in Amsterdam) consists of 13 highly skilled and talented (jr. / sr. / manager) financial controllers and is led by the head of financial control. The financial control Eastern Europe team consists of two jr. financial controllers and is led by the manager financial control.  It is a diverse and international team, who dares to make decisions, challenge existing standards and reduce complexity. The team is responsible for the financial control of Rituals worldwide. You’ll spend (most of) your time at our beautiful Amsterdam HQ. We hope you can appreciate the view of one of the most iconic Amsterdam canals.

THIS IS YOU

High on energy, low on ego and with a little bit of humor. You are the team player who wants to bring financial control to the next level. To do so you’re able to bring structure and take responsibility. On top of it, you have:

• HBO/WO Accounting (Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance).
• Min. 3 years of experience as accounting assistant/ jr. financial controller / etc.
• Strong analytical skills, independent critical thinker.
• You speak German and Polish as a strong plus, next to fluently English.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 is a plus.
• Experience in a (international) retail company is a plus.
