Job Description
The Data & Analytics (D&A) team delivers strategic insights, analytics products, and decision-support capabilities across Risant Health, Risant Health’s Value-Based Platform (VBP) and Risant Health Organizations (RHOs), and Kaiser Permanente (KP). Through four key pillars—Risant Strategic Analytics, VBP/Solution Intelligence, RHO Support & Enablement, and Foundational Capabilities—the team translates data into actionable intelligence that drives clinical quality improvement, total cost of care reduction, better experiences for members and clinicians, and health equity.
The D&A Portfolio Management Lead drives strategic portfolio management across all D&A initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities, optimal allocation of resources, and delivery of maximum value. This role establishes and governs intake, prioritization, and roadmap planning processes while coordinating dependencies across analytics pods, platform development, and other strategic initiatives. The Portfolio Management Lead is the central orchestrator of D&A delivery, liaising with VBP teams, Risant Technology and RHO counterparts (as necessary) to balance stakeholder needs and resource constraints to maximize impact for Risant Health and RHOs.
Job Responsibilities
Portfolio Intake & Prioritization: Lead portfolio intake and prioritization across D&A pillars, ensuring alignment with business strategy. Serve as point of contact for new analytics requests, including adhoc requests from Risant leadership. Facilitate intake evaluation process including business impact assessment, effort estimation, and resource allocation recommendations.
Portfolio Backlog & Roadmap Definition: Develop and maintain portfolio roadmap, working closely with analytic asset owners, business and clinical partners to translate complex business needs into roadmap components. Maintain roadmap through close partnership with analytics product managers / owners / program managers.
Portfolio Optimization & Planning: Partner with analytic product managers / owners / program managers and D&A leadership to balance competing priorities and optimize overall portfolio value. Lead quarterly portfolio planning cycles, incorporating feedback from RHOs, VBP teams, and executive stakeholders. Incorporate updates into Risant Quarterly Business Review (QBR) and Monthly Business Review (MBR) as needed, working closely with D&A leadership.
Cross-Pillar Coordination & Continuous Improvement: Coordinate dependencies across each D&A pillar, helping resolve resource conflicts and priority misalignments. Drive continuous improvement in portfolio management processes, tooling, and governance structures.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Serve as a liaison between D&A, clinical, business, and technical stakeholders in key forums (including VBP Product Governance “War Rooms”).
Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor portfolio-level KPIs including delivery velocity, resource utilization, business value delivered, and stakeholder satisfaction. Provide executive reporting on portfolio health, risks, and recommendations for strategic adjustments.
Refine Analytics Strategy: Actively inform and refine Risant Health’s analytics strategy (including standards and approaches) for data sourcing and usage, measurement methodologies and analytics deployment based on evolving portfolio needs and industry trends.
Vendor Management: In coordination with D&A and other functional leaders, help manage vendor relationships and provide oversight to their performance.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Data Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or related field
Experience:
- Seven (7) years working with healthcare analytics or business intelligence functions in healthcare (payer, provider, health tech) with exposure to value-based care models in healthcare
- Five (5) years in portfolio management, program management, product management, or analytics delivery in healthcare or related industry
- Five (5) years demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and coordinate complex initiatives across multiple workstreams
- Experience with common analytics platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake)
- Familiarity with Total Cost of Care analytics, risk adjustment, clinical quality measures
Education Preferred:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Informatics, Public Health, or related field
Required Technical Competencies:
- Deep expertise in strategic portfolio management methodologies, agile delivery frameworks, and prioritization techniques, including ability to balance short-term delivery needs against long-term capability building
- Strong understanding of healthcare analytics (including common data sources / standards and industry-standard analytic methodologies), value-based care models, data & analytics solution delivery
- Analytical mindset with ability to assess business impact, technical complexity, and resource requirements
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with ability to influence without explicit authority across clinical, operational, and technical teams
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex portfolio dynamics to executive audiences
- Strong financial acumen including budget management, ROI analysis, and value realization tracking
- Experience with portfolio management tools (Jira, Asana, Smartsheet) and data visualization platforms

This hybrid role requires working onsite up to two days per week in either our Washington, DC or Renton, WA office. Bi‑monthly travel is also required.
Additional Information
Compensation and Benefits: The projected base salary for this position ranges from $195,000 to $257,400 depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including wellness programs, retirement savings, and relocation support as applicable.
