The Risant Health Value-Based Care Platform is a tech platform that enables community members to access and understand value-based care as a wholistic endeavor. The VBP will deploy solutions supporting value-based care in multi-payer, multi-provider environments that are simple for clinicians to use and enable a positive experience for consumers to think about and act on their health.
Job Description
The VBP & Strategic Operations Lead will provide critical operational leadership and support to the Business Lead, Value-Based Platform at Risant Health. This individual will oversee day-to-day operations while supporting strategic planning, business performance tracking, and other efforts as Risant grows and scales its business. As part of a growing organization in its startup phase, this role requires a hands-on leader who can proactively identify needs, develop solutions, and drive execution across a variety of operational domains. The Strategic Operations Lead must be highly adaptable, comfortable working in an evolving environment, and capable of balancing strategic execution with tactical implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
The Strategic Operations Lead will drive alignment, performance, and execution across value-based platform initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Executive & Stakeholder Communications: Manage executive communication strategies, agendas, and materials for board, CEO, and leadership teams.
- Strategic Planning & Alignment: Collaborate with product leaders to align the Strategic Roadmap with enterprise goals and ensure consistent internal and external messaging.
- Delivery Oversight: Build and manage the Product/Solution Delivery team and oversee the lifecycle of solution implementation, including budget and resource tracking.
- Performance Management: Lead functional goal setting and OKR processes, facilitate quarterly performance reviews, and report on progress.
- Budget & Investment Planning: Partner with cross-functional teams to manage annual budgets and guide investment decisions in support of platform initiatives.
- Operational Structure: Maintain resource planning processes and define organizational structures to support team scalability and effectiveness.
- Special Projects: Lead or support strategic initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience & Education Qualifications:
- Master’s degree with at least 7 years of experience in healthcare operations leadership with a payer, provider or healthcare consulting organization, start-ups or industry equivalent or bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience
- Experience leading and developing, coaching and mentoring small teams
- Experience leading complex projects in a matrixed environment
- Qualitative background and comfort with financial planning and analysis
- Experience translating strategy into actionable plans, executing, and measuring results
- Experience working closely with and influencing executive leaders
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with executive teams to drive organizational change.
- Experience in adjusting strategies and processes to meet changing business needs while maintaining focus on operational excellence.
- Familiarity with health plan or provider middle or back-office functions is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor performance metrics and develop actionable insights. Experience in creating and managing reports to track progress against strategic goals.
- Demonstrated ability and experience working in a fast-paced startup, or similar environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
Additional Information
This position has a preliminary projected target base salary of $176,667 - $233,200 which is subject to change as additional market data is acquired. The position is also eligible for incentive compensation, comprehensive wellness, time off, savings and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package for employees at Risant Health.
