Job Description

Seeking a senior business development representative to shape the sales strategy at Ripen. This role will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to sell digital services and build an internal sales department.

You will play a major role in achieving our customer acquisition and revenue growth goals by working with the Account Executive team to identify and develop strategic relationships with prospective clients and partners.

This role has the unique opportunity to help influence the whole business development process here at Ripen. From how we find leads to how we nurture them, and even down to what we sell them. This role will be a key player in developing these processes at Ripen.

You will contact potential clients, work to identify their pain points and propose the appropriate digital solution that best meets their customer, business and technical needs.

You will work closely with client stakeholders at all levels so must have superb communication and presentations skills. 

You should have experience talking with prospective customers on the phone, generating interest in our products, qualifying prospects and developing relationships with potential customers. You will need to be able to speak intelligently about eCommerce strategy and earn the potential customer’s trust.


Responsibilities include...

  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls and emails
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements to tailor sales strategy
  • Routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate directors for further development and closure
  • Setting up meetings or calls between qualified prospective customers and Account Executives
  • Qualifying leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Providing feedback to leadership about client’s response to our services, value offering, and sales materials.
  • Demonstrate an extensive knowledge about our solution offerings and be able to communicate these offerings effectively
  • Researching accounts, identifying key players and generating interest
  • Consistently meet monthly meeting quotas as well as quarterly/annual sales goals
  • Weekly reports on the status of prospect meetings and activity

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in inside sales. Specifically selling digital services in an agency environment or selling an eCommerce SaaS
  • Ability to define a CRM workflow that scales with the sales department
  • Marketing automation familiarity is a bonus
  • Ability to create and manage a pipeline of leads
  • Demonstrated success in reaching decision makers and quickly determining a qualified sales opportunity
  • Strong phone presence and solid communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
