Job Description

Ripen eCommerce is currently looking for a senior full-stack web developer with particularly strong JavaScript & CSS development skills. You’re someone who’s equally equipped to build from scratch or expand upon existing work in a dynamic (but not chaotic) environment.

As an ideal candidate, you’re a creative coder who sees web development as craft to constantly be honed. While you’re knowledgeable about current popular frameworks and libraries, you have the familiarity with the core technologies to work easily without them.

As a senior developer, you are adept at both technical and non-technical communication: able to mentor junior developers while quickly switching gears to collaborate with non-technical colleagues and clients.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Expertise in raw JavaScript without dependence on libraries
  • Expertise in CSS3 and HTML5
  • Proficiency in modern, object-oriented PHP development
  • Knowledge of accessibility (including ARIA) and front-end performance
  • Experience with version control, ideally Git
  • Careful cross-browser/cross-device development approach
  • Well-rounded personality that thrives in a collaborative environment

Extra Credit

  • Magento experience, ideally with Magento 2
  • Experience with SASS, Gulp and similar workflow tools
  • Experience with PHP frameworks like Symfony and tools like Composer
  • Experience in an interactive agency setting, ideally with e-commerce
