Job Description

The Small Batch Technician is responsible for producing products that are assigned to the department due to the volume requirements of the customer.


DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Produce product according to batch ticket specifications

Mix, tint and prepare samples for Quality Control

Fill containers with product according to specifications

Maintain a clean work area

As part of the housekeeping procedures, the employee may be involved with the disposal of hazardous waste. The initial training of how to properly dispose of hazardous waste will be performed by the Environmental and Safety Coordinator or the department supervisor. Annual training of the same will be performed by the Environmental and Safety Coordinator.

Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Preferred education level: High school diploma or GED

Preferred experience level: Three or more years of experience with coatings production which includes batchmaking, mixing and weighing

Forklift certification strongly preferred

Ability to pass a math test and color tinting test

Excellent communication skills

Willing to work in a team environment

Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner


Bottom Line Requirements:


1. High school diploma or GED.

2. 3+ years of experience with coatings production which includes batch making, mixing and weighing.

3. Forklift certification strongly preferred.

4. Experience color matching or tinting.
