Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Technical Proposal Writer to help us reach our next growth stage as a company. This person will become intimately familiar with the core products and services of the company and will be responsible for conducting research, managing interviews with technical SMEs and company leaders, and developing clear and concise proposal narratives that effectively highlight our unique value proposition in the evolving field of Ubiquitous Technical Surveillance (UTS) and Digital Signature Management (DSM). This role will include standing as Technical Volume Lead for strategic competitive Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and the Content Manager responsible for working across the company to create technical narratives supporting various solicitation efforts.         

Successful candidates will have professional experience demonstrating initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and an entrepreneurial spirit for fostering collaboration and effective internal and external communication of technical concepts and ideas. We are looking for an experienced Technical Proposal Writer with a proven track record of producing compelling technical proposal narratives in the successful award of competitive efforts in the government space. Above all else, successful candidates must bring curiosity, a willingness to work as part of a dynamic team, and a desire to learn and grow with the company continually.

What you will do:

  • Draft compelling, persuasive, and clear language to translate complex technical solutions against solicitation requirements
  • Lead content creation as Technical Volume manager, working collaboratively across the team to create proposal narratives that effectively articulate solutions, strategy, approaches, and discriminators in addressing solicitation win themes
  • Work with our Products and Engagement Division and technical Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to document, write, and articulate corporate solutions and past performance against competitive proposal requirements
  • Apply interviewing and communication skills to gather the required information from internal and external personnel to support writing activities
  • Delineate and appropriately communicate the boundaries of complex proprietary and security-related information
  • Manage multiple tasks against various proposal efforts simultaneously, within deadlines
  • Manage and update a repository of technical content and tools to unify the company’s collective voice in addressing complex technical solutions and how they align with Digital Signature Management

Qualifications

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with direct support as a proposal writer responding to Federal government solicitations
  • Experience providing written content on technical solutions (ex: systems engineering, software development, cyber operations, adult learning)
  • Evidence of a successful track record contributing to high-quality, successful proposals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
  • Active security clearance at the SECRET level
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Local to Washington Metro Area (WMA)

Nice to have’s:

  • Active security clearance at the TOP SECRET level
  • Ability to coach and instruct others to facilitate consistency across multiple authors
  • Experience working as a federal contractor in the technology space
  • Aptitude to do both strategic and hands-on work supporting the company’s technical writing needs

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office 

  • Constantly work with computers and other information technology equipment
