You must know that:

  • This is an ON-SITE position; you will periodically rotate between our Networks Operations Center and customer sites.
  • This position has varied shift schedules that may include day or evening hours
  • Travel will be required approximately 25% of the time 

What you will do:

  • Monitor, alert, and report on system and infrastructure health 
  • Perform troubleshooting steps to triage, investigate and mitigate system issues
  • Escalate events based on established operational policies
  • Perform vulnerability management by patching servers and infrastructure
  • Monitor, maintain, and update system and server configuration per defined organizational standards 
  • Diagnose and repair faulty system and server hardware
  • Provide customer support and appropriately respond to customer needs

Qualifications

Must-haves:

  • Active top secret clearance
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with customer service and operating in a "help desk" environment

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience using Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
  • Experience managing Microsoft server infrastructure
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure monitoring systems 
  • Experience working with virtualization (VMware, Proxmox, KVM)
  • Knowledge of networking - including switching, routing, firewalls, and VPNs
  • Experience working in a secure environment
  • Familiarity with Android OS and mobile device management

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office 
  • Constantly work with computers and other information technology equipment
