Job Description

Ridgeline has an opportunity for a Contract Administrator to join our Contracts Department, and collaborate on programs throughout all phases of the contract management lifecycle, from proposal to contract closeout.  This position will play an important role handling programs that require a breadth of knowledge of federal contracting. 

Ridgeline believes in relational connections and look for teammates that will bring new perspectives and integrate into a team of individuals with diverse backgrounds and unique experiences.  The Contract Admin should have the ability to work independently but also thrive in a collaborative team environment.  This position will interface daily with Ridgeline’s program managers, administrative service centers (Finance, Accounting, Legal, Business Development), and members of the leadership team. 

What you will be doing:

  • Collaborate:
    • Establish positive relationships with internal and external customers
    • Work with Ridgeline’s Program Management staff and respond timely to emerging contractual requirements
    • Communicate effectively with internal teammates across different functions and programs
    • Identify contractual issues and propose ways to mitigate risk while meeting the needs of the customer
    • Support and manage multiple programs and priorities simultaneously
  • Administer:
    • Process NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Service Agreements, Purchase Orders, Consultant Agreement, and other contractual agreements
    • Negotiate and execute contract documents in accordance with company policy and procedures
    • Create and maintain contract files in full compliance with company policies and guidelines
    • Prepare contracts that involved the purchase of sale of goods and services, process contract modifications and monitor contractor performance
    • Administer day-to-day contract actions and prepare official correspondence, contract documentation, and deliverables
    • Support monthly in-person customer meetings in the National Capital Region

What you will accomplish in the first six months:

  • Gain a clear understanding of Ridgeline’s service offerings, culture and value. You will also master the basic tasks of the position at Ridgeline, all of which will set the foundation for tackling technical aspects of the role.
  • Build relationships with Ridgeline teammates (Program Managers, administrative service centers, etc.) and external customers to enable effective collaboration and communication.
  • Evaluate existing processes, policies and business practices and provide creative ideas to improve the efficiency and effectiveness. 

Qualifications

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years of relevant contract administration experience.  Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 
  • Knowledge of federal contracting with proficiency with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  • Possess organization, time management, active listening and observation skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, to include Word and Excel.
  • Ability to support in-person meetings monthly in the National Capital Region
  • Active Secret Clearance

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience using CostPoint
  • Professional certification (CPCM/CFCM)

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly work with computers and other office productivity equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.  Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations—the ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 50  pounds across the office for various needs.
