Job Description

We are growing and looking for a Deputy Program Manager (DPM), to assist the Program Manager (PM) in delivering high quality technical services to multiple U.S. Government customers. In this role, you will oversee cross-functional teams of technical project managers, network engineers, software developers, technical trainers, testers, and other subject matter experts in daily execution of program requirements. You may also assist the PM in developing new lines of business, growing existing accounts, adding features to existing service offerings, or creating new products.

Qualifications

Strong Written and Verbal Communications

  • Translate complex, technical capabilities into compelling narratives and product offerings for Customers.
  • Translate high-level requirements from Customers into a detailed technical execution plan for cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate financial and programmatic progress to Customers and internal Ridgeline stakeholders in written and verbal form.

Excellent Time Management and Organization

  • Quickly task-switch across programs, projects, and departments while maintaining forward progress and removing blockers as they arise. 
  • Communicate tasking, feedback, and responses in clear, concise written form.
  • Hold concise, effective meetings – both in-person and virtual – that have clear, attainable objectives.
  • Maintain clear and organized documentation on program and project progress

Customer Context and General Technical Competency

  • Understand the customers’ mission and requirements, through personal experience or academic study.
  • Rapidly develop an understanding of Ridgeline’s core offerings, philosophy, and technical capabilities across departments.
  • Have general technical competency in Microsoft Excel, Atlassian Confluence and Jira, and other commonly used manager’s tools.

An Affable, Workmanlike Attitude

  • Work with Ridgeline employees, partner companies, vendors, and customers with diverse background, expertise, and social styles to achieve program objectives and deliver high quality services.
  • Motivate individuals to apply their unique skillsets to complex, nuanced tasks while maintaining a “big picture” focus on positive programmatic outcomes.
  • Willingness to ‘get the job done’ despite setbacks and unforeseen complexities.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly work with computers and other office productivity equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.  Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations—the ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 50  pounds across the office for various needs.
