We iterate and deliver quickly – in the course of weeks or months, not years – and we’ve trained more than 1,000 people, deployed to over 50 countries, and managed systems with more than 2,000 end users.

About the Opportunity:

Ridgeline is a leader in providing unique software and hardware that address a range of concerns from secure communications and signature reduction to increased situational awareness and data protection. Ridgeline will hire one intern this Summer to work across one or more of the below technology areas.

Software: Do you have an interest in writing code and building things? We create custom Android apps, which are primarily written in Java (though we’re also exploring Kotlin, which is kind of fun). We also make modifications to use open source products and use modern languages like Java, Python, Angular, and SQL to solve software challenges.

Systems: We engineer our own infrastructure and build and maintain servers, networks, and storage – both in the virtual and physical environments. Our engineers take customer requirements and turn them into unique, high-performing systems that are efficient and cost effective.

Cyber: Our specialization in offensive cyber capabilities feeds innovation within our defensive capacity. We hunt for zero-days to prepare for their impact on our clients. We built an advanced offensive cyber-range to simulate the worst-case scenario for our clients to ensure our tools and techniques survive. We use our offensive cyber capability as a tool during training exercises to demonstrate how the theories are applied against our clients.

IT Service Delivery: Our corporate IT team is tasked with equipping Ridgeline with cutting edge communications and productivity tools that keep as at the leading edge of innovation.  We engineer custom solutions that work for the way Ridgeline does business.

• Have an interest and some basic skills in one of the technical fields in the area listed above.
• Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a STEM related field (this program is open to incoming freshmen all the way to outgoing graduate students).
• Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required.

Duration & Commitment

• We expect this internship to begin at the beginning of June and last through August of 2021.  The internship will require ~40 hours per week. (Dates are flexible)

Location

• Ridgeline’s office is located in McLean, VA.  This internship will be a mixture of in-the-office work and remote work. Social distancing and mask guidelines will apply when in the office.

Hours

• Hours are flexible and will be determined based on the candidate’s schedule and Ridgeline’s business needs
