Job Description

Position Summary

The Rexnord Technical Excellence Program (TEP) is a 20 month rotational training program focused on developing high potential entry level engineering associates.  The program combines a “learn by doing” approach with career mentoring and select leadership and professional development training opportunities to accelerate associates’ early career development.  Program graduates will develop competencies in product and system level engineering and will develop foundational Rexnord Business System (RBS) knowledge.  This foundation of engineering and RBS fundamentals will enable TEP graduates to make valuable contributions in any of the core engineering functional areas across Rexnord. Over the course of the TEP, associates will complete four rotational assignments, each 5 months in duration, designed to teach fundamental skills in each of Rexnord’s core engineering functional areas:

  1. Manufacturing Engineering
  2. Application Engineering
  3. Design / New Product Development Engineering
  4. Research / Test Engineering.

These four rotations give the associate opportunity to gain product knowledge and experience culture at four different business units across Rexnord’s Process and Motion Control platform.  While in the TEP, associates will make valuable connections between rotational assignments and will learn to integrate proven RBS methodologies into their day to day activities.  Beyond the “learn by doing” training structure, the program cultivates excellence in communication skills via formal report-outs to peers and senior engineering leadership and regularly scheduled mentor meetings with TEP leadership. The TEP associate will be part of the corporate Rexnord Innovation Center through which program guidance, rotational assignment planning, mentorship, and identification of well aligned post-program placement opportunities will be facilitated.
