Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Content Marketing Manager who will help drive pipeline growth and brand awareness in the backup space through content creation, distribution, and creative thinking. Reporting to the Director of Content, the successful candidate will establish our brand voice and identity by driving our content marketing calendar through content creation across various platforms and channels. 

The Content Marketing Manager is a strong cross-functional collaborator who excels at creating content, aligning content strategy to business outcomes, and honing complex and technical subjects into beautiful pieces.

This role will be responsible for producing highly engaging content assets like eBooks, reports, newsletters, and blog posts. It will also involve tackling a variety of ad hoc projects like creating press articles, and slide decks, and even tweaking and refining our email marketing and web message frameworks. 

The Content Marketing Manager will work in collaboration with the rest of the Rewind team - we are full of experts in IT, SaaS, eCommerce and accounting, and we’ll be able to provide rough outlines and ideas to help inspire you.

Responsibilities 

  • Research and produce engaging content for various mediums, including the Rewind website, our blog, guides, landing pages, scripts, sponsored articles, and more
  • Collaborate with fellow writers, designers, and other internal stakeholders to craft stories that are aligned with business goals, user needs, and brand guidelines
  • Work with the Director of Content on building a blog strategy to attract, engage, and develop potential customers
  • Leverage keyword research, competitive insights, SEO best practices, and audience data, to identify content gaps, topics, and optimization efforts
  • Own and manage the prospect newsletter, and create compelling content for each edition
  • Create and manage an editorial calendar, that includes blog, newsletter, and social media posts for the month ahead 
  • Communicate complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner for a variety of audiences
  • Research and analyze the latest developments, updates, and trends in our industry
  • Help with writing persuasive copy to serve a variety of growth marketing initiatives, including product launches, web landing pages, digital ads, customer lifecycle and email communications, and more.
  • Identifying and collaborating with potential partners and influencers in the industry

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has 4-5 years of experience as a Content Marketing Manager, Content Strategist or a similar role.

They should also:

  • Have experience writing exceptional B2B Marketing and Sales content (incl. reports, webinars, presentations, emails, articles, and press releases)
  • Be able to manage and grow an external newsletter program
  • Have experience creating and executing a blog strategy focused on traffic generation
  • Have a proven understanding of SEO best practices for content marketing 
  • Have a proven record of excellent writing demonstrated in a professional portfolio
  • Have the ability to manage freelance writers to help scale content production
  • Be a strong self-manager, with an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy
  • Have the ability to manage multiple priorities and assignments under tight deadlines
