Job Description

As the Data & Analytics Lead, you will oversee and manage the data and analytics initiatives within an organization. Your primary focus will be on leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and gain insights that contribute to business growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop data-driven solutions that enhance our products, operations, and overall performance. Your expertise in data analysis and analytics engineering will be instrumental in shaping our data-driven culture and driving innovation.

You will play a crucial role in elevating our data-driven capabilities and empowering our organization to make strategic decisions based on data insights. Your leadership and technical expertise will contribute to our continued growth and success, ensuring that data remains a powerful driver of innovation and excellence in our business operations.

In this role, you will be focusing on 5 major areas:

Data Strategy and Governance:

You will develop a clear data and analytics strategy aligned with the organization's goals and develop an effective process for managing internal data requests.

You know how to effectively communicate and collaborate with IT, Product and Product Development teams to establish data infrastructure and ensure seamless data integration across systems. You will also work closely with senior management to understand the company's needs and define how data can be used to achieve the company's objectives.

Data Analysis and Insights:

You will be responsible for designing scalable, maintainable analytics infrastructure using state-of-the-art tooling and best practices. As a lead, you will oversee the analysis of complex datasets using advanced statistical methods and data visualization techniques to derive meaningful insights and identify business opportunities. You will also work on translating data-driven findings into actionable recommendations to support decision-making at all levels of the organization.

Business Performance Optimization:

Your responsibility will be to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, Product, and Finance, to identify areas for performance improvement and drive data-informed strategies.

Data Reporting and Visualization:

You will create and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate insights to stakeholders effectively while ensuring data visualizations are intuitive, informative, and aligned with business objectives.

Team Management: 

You will be responsible for leading and mentoring team members - assigning tasks, setting goals, providing guidance, and ensuring that the team is delivering high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates that have 5+ years experience in data and analytics role, with a track record of delivering data-driven solutions and insights while having experience with the Modern Data Stack, we use dbt, BigQuery, Segment, FiveTran, Airbyte, Hightouch. Having previous experience working in a SaaS company is a must have to be successful in this role.

You also have:

  • Expertise in data analysis, analytics engineering, and statistical modeling, with proficiency in programming languages like Python or R.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, data security, and data modeling best practices like dimension and fact tables.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Metabase, Looker, or similar platforms. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of data professionals to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify data-driven opportunities and solutions for business challenges.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align data initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Experience working with Marketing, Sales, and Finance teams
