Job Description

The Product

The product is a leader in food & beverage product lifecycle management, with a well-established customer base including major global brands. Our customers use it to define recipes, manage ingredients and generate label information, all while conforming to strict multi-jurisdiction compliance rules.

The Role

The Senior Product Manager will report to the Senior Director of Product Management, performing all the usual PM tasks; research, voice-of-customer, business case development, roadmaps, backlog prioritization, etc. Working closing with POs and engineering, you will decide the strategic direction of the product and drive execution.

AI-driven coding is enabling us to tackle more ambitious projects than ever, including a total re-imagining of our UX, building in a modern cloud tech stack. You’ll help us reimagine our user experience from the ground up, balancing the needs of legacy customers with the demands of a modern cloud-native platform. If you thrive on solving complex puzzles and rallying teams around a shared vision, you’ll fit right in.

You will be measured on revenue growth, retention, customer satisfaction, and product adoption. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to lead cross-functionally and inspire our teams while remaining focused on results and value creation.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the success and profitability of your product.
  • Define, prioritize, drive, and maintain the product roadmap and backlog to increase customer retention, usage, and new bookings.
  • Continuously assess build, buy, or partner for prioritized roadmap investments.
  • Deeply understand the market and customer challenges, pain points, and value for solving them.
  • Lead and be personally accountable for building in the voice of the customer / user feedback throughout your product lifecycle.
  • In strong partnership with development, manage product releases throughout the development lifecycle while continuously optimizing productivity, efficiency, and quality.
  • Design and execute pilots and proof of concepts to validate hypotheses about potential products and features.
  • Drive product launches with clear product value proposition and by partnering with marketing and sales on messaging, presentations, videos, white papers, and other deliverables.
  • Own the health of your product by tracking performance through appropriate metrics and measurables.
  • Create and maintain appropriate product documentation to support the go-to-market motion and to increase user awareness of new capabilities.
  • Use creative and innovative problem-solving skills to unblock challenges.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and product spokesperson for your product portfolio.

  • Experience of working in regulated industries with complex compliance requirements.

  • Experience with agile software development practices (e.g., scrum, Kanban, Lean Agile) and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
