Job Description

Reporting to the Global Controller, the Assistant Controller will lead the various teams in the US accounting organization.  In this role, you will be responsible for the productivity of the accounting team and serve as a strategic partner to the financial leadership.   

The successful candidate will be highly motivated with a high degree of focus on detail and process.  As a growing business, the Assistant Controller will collaborate with other financial leads around the world to develop and maintain standard operating policies and procedures and deliver the financials in a timely and efficient manner.   

Responsibilities 

  • Ensures accurate and timely month-end and quarter-end close  
  • Coordinating and preparing timely monthly and quarterly financial statements which includes the global consolidation 
  • Manage external auditor relationships to facilitate completion of audit procedures in a timely and efficient manner; 
  • Establish, implement, manage and monitor critical accounting and reporting policies, processes and associated metrics; 
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed 
  • Developing and monitoring business performance metrics 
  • Overseeing regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance 
  • Participate in M&A due diligence and integration activities 
  • Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; experience as an Assistant Controller, preferred
  • 2+ years managing a team across different accounting functions (general accounting, A/P, A/R)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; preferably in the SaaS industry
  • Experience driving transformation and efficiencies in controls, accounting process and systems

Highly preferred:

  • CPA or MBA
  • International experience
  • Experience with NetSuite
  • Experience in a PE-backed company
  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
