Job Description
Revalize is growing quickly, as is the complexity of our IT and technology systems. In an effort to wrangle those systems into a consistent, scalable solution, we’re looking to build a team of engineers responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of our technology services like Windows 10/11, Intune MDM, Azure AD, Azure VDI, and hardware solutions.
As a Desktop Engineer, you will join the Global IT team, which supports and enables our worldwide activities by delivering an integrated desktop solution. We have employees, contractors, and partners on six continents and need to ensure the uptime, security, and usability of our systems.
This area has seen significant growth in since our inception and focuses on group-wide, user-facing technologies that enhance the way the group collaborates and does business. The team is currently engaged in several projects including cloud based productivity and collaboration tools, enhanced mobility and BYOD, virtual desktop enhancements, Windows 10/11, MacBook, security product upgrades, and various business-driven projects.
With your self-starter attitude and broad range of experience in the enterprise IT world, you will be responsible for assisting with the design, implementation, and support a Windows 10/11 desktop migration to modern management using MDM technologies. You will also aid in enhancing or replacing existing operational processes for Windows Endpoints to provide the best possible end user experience.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the day-to-day management of Desktop Engineering tools Including Microsoft Intune, Azure AD, and Defender for Endpoint.
Engineer, build, and maintain a zero-touch desktop deployment system via Autopilot with Intune for windows device and Apple Business Manager for MacOS devices.
Engineer, build, and maintain the enterprise level device management solution with a focus on automating tasks where possible.
Package, test, and deploy business software packages and updates to the end-user environment.
Evaluate new and emerging product technologies to enhance the desktop imaging solution.
Conduct testing and evaluation of new desktop hardware models maintaining a continuous build and test cycle.
Provide high level technical support for Tier-3 issue escalations/tickets including executive level support.
Effectively collaborate with team members and various departments across IT.
Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and End User Computer system management tools.
Create and maintain processes and documents pertaining to the managed workstation environment.
Create and maintain reports based on data available from multiple sources.
Ability to read and edit data via programmatic methods with the Graph API.
Ability to share knowledge and train teammates on current and newly implanted products and services either in training sessions or training material creation.
Ensure we meet and/or exceed users’ expectations around user experience.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
4 years technical experience in support of desktop technologies within a professional environment
4 years Windows Desktop OS administration experience with extended knowledge of Windows 10
4 years mobile device management solutions experience
Experience working with Windows 10/11 from an enterprise perspective
Windows Defender, Azure, Active directory experience
Experience with MDM technologies
Experience working in a DevOps and/or Agile environment
Scripting skills with Windows PowerShell
A strong interest in delivering and enhancing user experience and productivity through mobile solutions
An ability to analyze and optimize business processes
Advanced troubleshooting skills
A demonstrated ability to exhibit technical credibility with both IT and business stakeholders
An ability to work in projects with complex requirements
An understanding of Service Management including change, incident, and problem management as it applies to a large corporate environment and use of an ITSM tool such as JIRA Service Management
