- Full-time
Company Description
At Linked Retail, we partner with brands and retailers to make their businesses more efficient and profitable through the next evolution in brand and ecommerce integrations. Located in Houston, TX we've been getting retailers connected and online since 2010.
Job Description
We want to invite a new Web/Application Developer to our design team. We’re very cool with those that are self-taught, but please provide examples/explanations of your work. Our current core integration supports Magento CE/EE; experience here is preferred. Communication, being a part of a team, and a willingness to learn tasks/responsibilities outside your own to understand our entire project processes and products are important. The more you know.
This position is an integral part of a small, high performance team of web developers, designers, and integrators. We work hard in an environment that provides continuous challenges in taking our clients sites to the next level, day-to-day management (extension installation, code modification, data manipulation, etc.) of existing sites, as well as, launching new sites.
You will wear many “hats” and be responsible for setting up web servers for hosting websites, installations and configurations of various applications (including ecommerce), in addition to developing extensions and plugins to enhance internal and client requests. You will also assist in troubleshooting and support of these servers and systems, working on tickets alone or with the team, as needed. A typical setup environment will be Magento/LAMP, often including WordPress integration.
Many of these tasks are connected with larger integration projects, so being able to communicate with the project manager and clients on delivery, tasks, and risk expectations are critical. You will definitely be engaged in more than one project at a time, so being able to switch gears to allocate the right amount of time to each is valuable.
