Our business is growing and we're in search of a new, dynamic team member to help develop integrated solutions and enterprise-level software for our Internal IT team. A candidate is someone who learns quickly and functions with limited supervision. They must be able to move quickly between different programming languages and environments. Taking responsibility and communicating with internal teams about potential issues and solutions so projects stay on time and within budget is crucial. Our ideal candidate is also excited about working in a fast-paced, growing, environment that is focused on enhancing all aspects of its technology stack! 

Consider your day-to-day responsibilities in this role:   

• Proficiency with software development lifecycle including build tools, version control, containerization, deployment pipelines, and cloud services fundamentals  

• Ability to develop in HTML, CSS (+Sass), Javascript, React (+Typescript), PHP (bonus), Ruby on Rails (bonus)  

• Strong understanding of databases and relevant development practices (ELT, Python, SQL, Snowflake, Tableau – nice to have) 

• Ability to lead integrations of third-party systems ensuring full system interoperability 

• Supporting our implementation of a new enterprise data warehouse 

• Ability to work through a task independently or with minimal intervention 

• Analyze existing programs for modification purposes.  

• Writing and implementing, clean, scalable code.  

• Troubleshooting and debugging code.  

• Verifying and committing software to development and production environment.  

• Evaluating user feedback.  

• Recommending and executing program improvements.  

• Maintaining software code and ensure adherence to standards.  

• Creating technical documents and training staff.  

• Creating, evaluating, and updating unit tests to maintain minimum code coverage.  

• Proficiency in conceptualizing problems and working with a team towards a solution, be that other front-end developers, back-end developers, or project managers  

• Ability to document requirements and specifications  

Some of the qualifications and skills we are expecting include the following:  

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field (not required but a plus)  

• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and technical documentation.   

• Present and respond to questions from managers and cross functional teams  

• Ability to give constructive feedback to employees.   

• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, package managers, and bundlers   

• Relational database knowledge data modeling and programming to include queries, views, UDF and stored procedures.   

• Knowledge of database systems including Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, SQLite, or PostgreSQL.   

• ELT tools and languages to support ELT process – Tray.IO, Phyton, Coalesce, or like tools  

• Experience with web technologies including React, VueJS, Angular, HTML, CSS, and jQuery.   

• Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, text editors, debuggers, compilers, design software, internet software, server diagnostic tools, and shell and database software.
