A fantastic opportunity has become available for a growth orientated professional looking to start their business development career with an award winning Superannuation fund.

The Business Development Associate will work alongside the Senior Manager, Enterprise Growth and is responsible for the identification and nurturing of prospective clients within the Corporate and Institutional client segments (Gold and Platinum).

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Drive new business acquisition for Rest Super by building a robust pipeline of prospective clients across all industry segments
  • Assisting the Senior Business Solutions Manager in pipeline recording, sales tracking and other administrative tasks
  • Collaborate with Relationship Management teams to grow client accounts and develop tailored solutions
  • Maintain accurate reporting and documentation for key business opportunities.
  • Working with the Tender Manager to deliver a compelling partnership proposition for prospective clients
  • Utilise Rest data analytics to identify viable business opportunities

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or with a minimum of 3 years equivalent experience
  • RG146

Required experience, understanding or credentials including:

  • Working within or managing a team of contact centre professionals is desirable
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant business development experience in superannuation, with a strong emphasis on the business-to-business (B2B) arena particularly in the Institutional and Corporate sectors
  • Demonstrated success in driving business growth and revenue generation within the employer superannuation sector, including a consistent track record of meeting and exceeding targets
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, enabling clear and persuasive articulation of complex concepts and ideas to both internal and external parties.
  • Proven experience in building and nurturing robust relationships with key stakeholders, fostering an environment of trust and collaboration.
  • The ability to work independently with a high degree of quality
  • A deep understanding of financial services principles, along with specific knowledge of superannuation products, services, and the dynamics of the market
