Job Description

  • Be part of a new Business Risk Assurance and Controls team. 
  • Support business assurance activities such as controls testing, analysis and reporting. 
  • Flexible working at either our Melbourne or Sydney Office.

As the Business Assurance and Controls Analyst, you will perform control testing and assurance activities across Rest’s Critical Operations and Material Service Providers. 

  • Complete Assurance Reviews across the Material Service Providers Assurance Plans, consistent with their level of criticality and risk. 
  • Provide control testing education, advice and training to first line risk teams and the broader business. 
  • Develop and execute the controls assurance plans across Rest’s critical operations. 
  • Provide advice and support for the identification of risks, controls, obligations, business and regulatory change on critical operations.
  • Facilitate risk and control assessment workshops.  
  • Support the annual critical operations assurance attestation and reporting process to group executives and the board.  
  • Support the implementation of CPS230 and associated business resilience practices

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in accounting, law, economics, engineering, business studies or equivalent (desired).

Experience in a Risk and/or Compliance role within the financial services industry.  

  • Create control test plans and execute on them across enterprise wide functions.
  • Conduct control testing walkthroughs with relevant risk stakeholders.
  • Perform control design and operating effectiveness testing across enterprise wide functions.
  • Request/gather evidence to support control testing
  • Input control testing results into the Risk System (IRM)
  • Provide regular controls reporting to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with assurance reviews across enterprise wide functions.
  • Provide control education/advice to relevant risk and business stakeholders.
