The M365 Platform Lead ensures the optimal performance, security, and user adoption of all M365 services within the organization, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform. This role focuses on maintaining the integrity and functionality of the M365 environment, contributing to strategic planning, and providing expert technical support. This is a hands-on role within a small team and requires broad technical expertise on the platform.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage M365 Services: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and optimisation of Microsoft 365 solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Ensure Security and Compliance: Conduct regular assessments to uphold high security and compliance standards for M365 services.
- Provide Technical Leadership: Serve as the principal resource and subject matter expert (SME) for M365, guiding M365-related projects. troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring effective use of the platform.
- Level 3 Support: Provide advanced support to business end users and junior staff for troubleshooting M365-related issues, ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption.
- Maintain System Documentation: Ensure that all system documentation is comprehensive, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.Collaborate with Vendors: Work with Microsoft and other vendors to optimise M365 services and stay updated on product changes and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
Highly regarded:
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate
- Required experience, understanding or credentials including:
- Demonstrated experience in a hands-on role, managing Microsoft 365 services, SharePoint Online, and Power Platform
- Extensive experience in enterprise software deployment and maintenance.
- PowerShell scripting desirable
- Familiarity with the ITIL framework and its application in managing M365 services.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- AvePoint backup solution experience desirable
