The Member Online Project aims to launch an upgraded Member Portal for Rest members, where the current platform will migrate from Member Access to Member Online Portal. Rest is seeking a Test Lead responsible for Testing and Quality Assurance across the project's delivery. The Test Lead will coordinate functional and integration testing in line with Quality Assurance standards, ensuring reliable and efficient project changes. This role involves managing the Test Team's daily activities and fostering a culture of quality excellence throughout the project's lifecycle, working closely with the Test Manager and Test Analysts. 

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities 

  • Ensure the test team develops and executes detailed test cases based on project requirements, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and integration aspects. This coverage encompasses all components of the solution, including third-party vendor integrations, the API layer, the mobile app, and the website. 
  • Implement and enhance test automation frameworks where possible to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and repeatability for the mobile app, website, and API layer 
  • Ensure Jira and Zephyr are configured optimally to support the testing process, customizing dashboards, workflows, and reports as needed to track and manage test execution status as well as defects, ensuring timely reporting, prioritization, and resolution in collaboration with development teams  
  • Work closely with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on testing goals and regularly communicate test progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.  
  • Continuously assess and improve testing processes, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and industry best practices and provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.  
  • Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the testing function and contributing towards DTD QA Roadmap  
  • Manage a team of testers and coordinate with multiple vendors to ensure timely and effective execution of test plans. 
  • Handle Defect/Issue tracking and prioritization, ensuring that defects are addressed according to their severity and impact on the project timeline and quality. 
  • Advocate for best practices in quality assurance and foster a culture of continuous improvement in the testing process and leading any recruitments activities in test team. 
  • Deliver regular reports to senior management on testing progress, risk assessments, and recommendations for improvement. 
  • Collaborate with the Environment and Release manager to validate Test Environment as well plan for relevant test data requirements to support the test phases. 

Candidate with experience on the Superannuation and Digital portals would be advantageous. 

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in technology, project management or relevant business discipline 
  • Formal QA certification 

Required experience, understanding or credentials including: 

  • Demonstrated experience in QA or other technology or project management related discipline  
  • Understanding of superannuation industry practices and standards, specifically relating to member services.  
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.  
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in an Agile-driven project environment  
  • Experience in Digital Transformation projects in multi-vendor work environment.  
  • Demonstrated hands on experience in coordinating and supporting UAT for large programs.  
  • Ability to work autonomously and act as the point of contact on projects where required.  
  • Industry experience within Superannuation is must.
