About the Job:

Data Management:

  • Day-to-day data management duties of Rest’s Enterprise Data Governance tool (Atlan), including but not limited to user access management, training both hands on and reference material development of collateral, feature enhancement identification and management, testing and rollout to business stakeholders.
  • Promote, support and execute the value of good data governance and data quality practices across the enterprise to our key business partners, including data stewards, data owners and key business users across Rest.
  • Execution of surveys and collection of results to identify data literacy gaps within enterprise, whilst working closely with PO Data Governance and Change Management office in the development and support of rolling out data literacy training.

Data Risk Management: Support and execution of Core Level 2 & Extended Level 3 Data Maturity training across Rest to enable Data Stewards and Delegated Data Owners adhere to their day-to-day data management activities for their Domain to remain under good governance.

Data Management Standards: Support the rollout of standards, frameworks, and guidelines for Data Management across Rest, in collaboration with information security, infrastructure, data privacy, risk partners and risk office members.

Data Management Uplift: Advise, develop, improve & follow best practices in data management for both ‘change’ and ‘run’ initiatives.

Data Education & Awareness: Contribute to the development of curriculum and content to uplift data management literacy and data culture across Rest.

Documentation: Ensure that informative, well-organized documentation with respect to data management is centrally maintained and kept up to date.

Knowledge Sharing & Collaboration - Contribute and improve knowledge sharing and collaboration within team, across teams and throughout Rest.

 

 

Qualifications

About You:

Required experience, understanding or credentials including:

  • Experience in developing policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines, specifically pertaining to Data Management
  • Strong understanding of financial services industry and key regulations impacting data requirements (e.g., CPG 235, CPS 234, Consumer Data Right, GDPR) and the ability to translate these into policy
  • Ability to work across senior leadership teams, business operational teams, data stewards and technical teams
  • Ability to build close working relationships both with internal and external stakeholders
  • 7+ years of experience in information technology architecture, data management, operations and design related disciplines
  • Desirable:
    • 2+ years' of Superannuation experience
    • 2+ years' experience in data governance/management roles
    • 2+ years' experience with data governance tools, preferably Atlan
    • 2+ years' SQL experience (MySQL, Postgres, Redshift, Snowflake)
    • 2+ years' of Data modelling experience
