About the Job
This is a key role within the Advice Technology team. The Advice Technology Support Analyst will provide support services to the Advice and Retirement teams in the areas of Advice IT support, Testing, Documentation, Training and Risk and Compliance. This includes ensuring new starters are set up efficiently, training is provided and there are clear user guides and procedure manuals made available to the team. You will also ensure reporting from these systems is completed in accordance with required schedules to relevant stakeholders. You will work closely with the Digital Advice team to ensure any new training or system updates are understood and resources updated accordingly.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Responsible for providing technical expertise and support for all advice systems, including:
- Advice IT support for all Advice systems (currently this is Midwinter AdviceOS, Rest Custom Digital Advice solution, Gallagher and Aaspire). This includes:
- Troubleshooting and escalations of IT issues
- New starter set up requests to Advice IT Support and new starter training
- Maintenance of user guides and training materials
- Ensuring no interruption to access where this is within your control
- Training and upskilling of advice team to produce advice documentation in Midwinter efficiently and in a compliant manner as required
- Investigation and analysis of issues relating to the advice technology solution and communications across stakeholders to ensure clarity on outcomes as required
- Managing all Phone and Digital Statement of Advice templates with oversight of the Senior Advice Technology Consultants
- Documenting functional requirements and technical specifications (where relevant) for advice solutions including templates used by advice team
- Testing advice technology updates to ensure alignment with Rest advice processes and procedures as required
- Work with the relevant stakeholders to review broader Rest technology solutions as presented by projects and any impacts they might have on advice systems; make recommendations as needed to ensure advice systems align with Rest’s overall technology framework, policies, processes and principles
- Generate reporting on agreed metrics with vendors
- Support regular internal prioritisation meetings, and operational and vendor management meetings with Midwinter
- Providing Quality Assurance/Risk and Compliance support to the Advice Services team by:
- Completing set control plans according to schedules and escalating when issues arise
- Providing reporting according to set schedules and adhoc when required
- Assisting with remediation activities for incidents when required
- Assisting with SoA checking when required
- Assisting with maintenance of Advice process guides when required
- Supporting the Advice and Retirement teams by identifying and recommending improvements in processes to provide quality services in an efficient and cost effective manner.
- Any other task requested from you within the remit of the Digital Advice and Advice Services teams.
Qualifications
About You:
You have an excellent eye for detail and the ability to make the complex simple and consumable. Your communications are engaging, easily articulating changes and impacts to team and able to support throughout. You enjoy working in a collaborative environment -sharing your knowledge while being curious and driven to develop further.
Qualifications
- Appropriate tertiary or technical qualifications
- RG 146 in superannuation preferred but not essential
Required experience, understanding or credentials including:
- Strong experience in supporting IT applications in a complex, integrated, technical environment
- Strong data and reporting capabilities
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), stakeholder management, analysis, problem solving and influencing skills at all levels
- Proven experience in working on multiple projects and managing issues across multiple stakeholders (internal and external) and prioritizing competing deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to train and coach
- Demonstrated ability to work in an environment requiring attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
Preferred experience:
- Strong knowledge of workings of financial planning software
- Strong experience and knowledge of the superannuation industry and the associated compliance obligations as they relate to superannuation funds and superannuation trustees and/or strong financial planning background
