Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and develop the existing quoting team to deliver accurate, timely, and competitive quotes aligned with business objectives.
  • Establish standardized, scalable cost estimating methodologies to ensure robust and accurate quoting.
  • Build and maintain a centralized, real-time cost and pricing database integrating labor, material, overhead, supplier pricing, and historical data.
  • Ensure cost transparency, version control, and data integrity to support consistent and repeatable pricing decisions.
  • Continuously reduce quote cycle time through process optimization, automation, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Drive continuous improvement in time-to-market quoting, especially for NPI and customer launch-critical programs.
  • Develop and deploy competitive pricing models that balance margin objectives with market realities.
  • Analyze win/loss data to refine pricing strategies and improve overall quote conversion rates.
  • Support Sales with pricing guidance, scenario analysis, and value-based pricing recommendations.
  • Translate market insights into actionable pricing strategies and quoting assumptions.
  • Ensure pricing reflects customer value, market conditions, and strategic positioning.
  • Collaborate closely with Strategic Sourcing to align supplier strategies, cost reduction initiatives, and should-cost models.
  • Act as a key cross-functional leader connecting Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, NPI, and Finance.

Qualifications

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quoting, Pricing, Costing, Estimating and/or Proposals.
  • 2+ years of Leadership experience managing and developing quoting or commercial teams.
  • Manufacturing Industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of cost structures in labor-intensive, high-mix manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated success improving quote speed, accuracy, and win rates.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
