Job Description

  • Develop and execute enterprise‑wide sourcing strategies across direct and indirect spend categories to optimize total cost, quality, service, and risk.
  • Lead category strategy development, supplier segmentation, and long‑term sourcing roadmaps aligned with business growth and margin objectives.
  • Own supplier negotiations, contract development, and commercial terms to deliver sustainable cost savings and value creation.
  • Establish make vs buy models, benchmarking, and fact‑based negotiation practices to drive disciplined decision‑making.
  • Build and maintain a high‑performing supplier base through supplier rationalization, performance management, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish supplier governance, scorecards, and business reviews focused on delivery, quality, cost, innovation, and risk.
  • Identify and mitigate supply continuity, geopolitical, financial, and operational risks through proactive sourcing and contingency planning.
  • Partner with Quality, Operations, and Engineering to address supplier performance issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Oversee all Purchasing and Procurement for multiple manufacturing sites, globally.
  • Lead logistics and transportation strategy across inbound, intercompany, and outbound flows to balance cost, service, and reliability.
  • Optimize freight modes, carrier strategies, and network design to improve service levels and reduce logistics cost‑to‑serve.
  • Oversee logistics relationships, contracts, and performance management.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery performance, freight spend, and customer service outcomes.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, Commercial, and Supply Planning to align sourcing and logistics strategies with demand, capacity, and financial plans.
  • Support new product introductions, make‑vs‑buy decisions, and supplier industrialization efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree or certification would be preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, purchasing, and/or supply chain
  • 5+ years of strong management and leadership of teams.
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment; preferably with regulated, precision, and/or high-volume operations such as Medical Device, Aerospace, Automotive, etc.
  • Experience supporting multiple manufacturing sites, globally.
  • Experience in global sourcing, international supplier management, and cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Success leading high impact negotiations and driving multi-million-dollar cost savings programs.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems; SAP is a plus.
